As I find myself halfway through my much-anticipated exchange program in Hawaii, I can’t help but reflect on the incredible experiences I’ve had so far. This tropical paradise has been nothing short of a dream come true, and I’ve had the opportunity to explore not only the beautiful island of Oahu but also venture out to the mainland, embarking on an unforgettable journey through Arizona, Colorado, Utah, and California to visit my roommates and friends. From the awe-inspiring depths of the Grand Canyon to the natural beauty of Yosemite, and from the serene shores of Lake Tahoe to the breathtaking mountains of Colorado, my eyes have really been opened to how vast and beautiful our world is. While every step of my mainland adventure has been extraordinary, it has also reinforced my appreciation for the unique beauty of Hawaii. The people, the beaches, the food and all the aloha (love) that is found over the island. With half of my exchange program still ahead of me, I eagerly anticipate the adventures and discoveries that lie in store.
