3 months in

by Logan Dick

I am a little over 3 months into my exchange at ASU now. I have had a great time thus far and have made some really great friends. Whilst university and classes have been great, the highlight of my trip would be the friends I have made and the travel I’ve been able to do while in the US.

I recently travelled to Flagstaff which is in Northern Arizona. It is A LOT colder than Phoenix/Tempe, but it is a beautiful spot to visit. It is home to Arizona’s ski resort, and also relatively close to the Grand Canyon. We travelled there during the Fall/Autumn season as all the leaves began to turn yellow and orange. I would highly recommend to anyone who travels to ASU to make the trip up during Autumn.

In terms of Uni, I am now getting close to the end of the semester and only have a few assignments left before my final exams. Some of my papers have been much easier than at home, and some have been more difficult. It is hard to compare to home as you need a grade of approximately 70% to pass here, but assignments are graded a lot easier. I have 4 in-person exams which is also a bit different, and they’re jammed into 3 days.

I’m certainly getting ready to come home and am leaving the US in just under a month. I’ve loved my time here but am looking forward to reconnecting with my family and friends after 4 and a half months abroad.
