Hello, I’m Bernadettebear Lim. I’m a transfer student from Malaysia. I am in my second year of a bachelor of business degree, specialising in strategy management with a minor in agribusiness. I was ecstatic to find out that Waikato University offered such an amazing opportunity to students. The main reason I’ve opted to go on exchange is to broaden my knowledge of the world and cultures. Everyone around me thought I was insane because I am constantly moving, but the opportunity to live in a country for several months is not something I can easily have once I start working. I want to live my life to the fullest while I am still young and able. I spent months travelling throughout Europe, and I want to return to the continent and experience local life.
I chose Erasmus Rotterdam University in the Netherlands not only because the country itself is lovely, but also because I will have the opportunity to travel to neighbouring countries. However, Erasmus Rotterdam is a well-known business school. I get to choose papers that are highly relevant to my major, and they also offer very exciting modules and learning content. Going on this exchange, I hope to get the most out of it, whether it’s academic or travel-related. I want to achieve both!
