I am now working on a paper titled Learning by Doing: Consulting to Social Enterprise at Erasmus Rotterdam University. This paper required us to collaborate with a social enterprise that has collaborated with the institution. We are a group of four people who have been allocated to Tijdvooractie, a non-profit organization that provides young volunteer training. We need to visit with the client and learn about the current difficulty that the company is facing.
We will hold weekly meetings with instructors and clients. Lecturers will be in charge of guiding us down the proper route by offering advice, sharing expertise, and ideas. For the client meeting, we will inform them on our progress and discuss the specifics that we will need to know in order to move forward. Aside from that, there are weekly seminars with speakers who are ex-students of Erasmus Rotterdam University and work in this sector.
They will share with us their real-life experiences and solutions. It also assists us with the hands-on case by asking them questions. In short, this course is engaging, and I appreciate how it allows students to experience the actual world. With limited time for research and interviews, finding the solution can be difficult at times. However, it teaches students to work efficiently. I personally have enjoyed the course so far.
