Hello, I’m Micaiah and I will be attending Yonsei University in South Korea as a second-year student. My chosen field of study is a Bachelor of Science with a major in Computer Science. The main reason for choosing to do an exchange program is because living in a foreign country provides a completely different experience from just visiting as a tourist. One gets the chance to really delve into the local culture, make friends with locals, sample the food, as well as engage in the local customs.

I specifically chose South Korea as my host country because I have always been fascinated by Korean culture, loved K-dramas, and have been studying the language this year at university. I hope that by the end of my exchange, I will have improved my language skills, formed meaningful connections with people I meet, gained a broader understanding of perspectives, and have grown as a person.
