Hi! I’m Mac, a 3rd year Bachelor of Business student majoring in Economics. Studying overseas and having the opportunity to gain a new perspective on education whilst travelling was an opportunity that was too good to pass up. Going on exchange is especially appealing to me due to the wide range of universities that are available to study at in many culturally diverse and interesting countries. I chose to go on exchange to the University of Liverpool due to the surrounding culture of the city itself, the neighbouring areas in northern England, Scotland and Wales, and the opportunity to travel to these places. England has an extensive history dating back thousands of years, with a rich culture growing from the nation’s roots. Liverpool was historically a working man’s city and has strong ties to its history through its football club, and I want to experience sporting events that happen over there. Liverpool is also located near the lake district, which is famous for its hiking and beautiful natural landscapes.
While on my exchange I hope to experience things that are ingrained in English culture, learn more about the history of the area, embrace living in a foreign city, and achieve excellence in my studies while doing so. I also hope to join social sports teams while I’m over there, make lifelong friends, try new foods at interesting restaurants, travel to London, and enjoy the whole experience of being a student at the University of Liverpool.
