Hello, my name is Cordélia, I am 20 years old. I have finished my second year of my Bachelor of Climate Change, majoring in Ecology and Biodiversity. I am going on an exchange in Maastricht, in the Netherlands, for semester A of my third year. One of the main reasons for which I chose to go on an exchange to gain insight on different ways of tackling climate change. The Netherlands is one of the leading countries in terms of climate action, which is why I chose to do my exchange at Maastricht University. I am also doing an exchange broaden my horizons and learn about different cultures. Additionally, I decided to apply for an exchange because I thought it would be a fun experience and it might make completing my bachelor’s degree more fun and interesting.
From my exchange I would like to gain a better understanding of Climate Change as a wicked problem, and experience studying abroad. Especially in Maastricht, because they seem to have a very different way of teaching than in the Waikato University. But also learn more about myself, as doing an exchange will hopefully help me learn and grow as a person.
