Hello! My name is Alex, and I’m about to depart on a semester exchange at the University of Liverpool. I’m currently studying a double Bachelor of Law and Science, and I’m really looking forward to completing some of my legal papers in the UK. Liverpool immediately appealed to me as a place to study for my exchange due to its rich history, and culture. Liverpool also has a close proximity to the rest of Europe which makes me super excited to hopefully do a bit of travel during my exchange!

During my semester exchange, I hope to gain a deeper understanding of how the UK legal system operates and how it differs from New Zealand’s approach to law. I’m hoping that by experiencing these differences firsthand ill be able to broaden my legal knowledge and gain a more global perspective on law as a whole.

I’m also excited to immerse myself in a new culture, meet new people, and further my personal growth through new experiences and opportunities that come with living overseas. Going on exchange is a completely different experience than what I’m used to/have done before but I’m looking forward to embracing all the challenges and making the absolute most of all the experiences that come my way.
