My name is Paige Barbarich and I will be starting my second year in Lancaster, UK. I will study screen and media as my major for my Bachelor of Communication.
I chose to go on this exchange as I had the great experience of befriending an exchange student earlier this year. As I got to know her she shared her opinion on the exchange program and eventually I was excited enough to want to go myself.
It will be an amazing learning experience, interacting with new ways of life, culture and opportunities. The UK has a lot to offer, and as a bonus I would be studying with the said friend as she currently studies at Lancaster too.
What highlighted this university to me was the welcoming website and great campus and facilities it provides. Aside from being close to major cities, Lancaster seemed to be less populated and since I am coming from smaller towns I feel I will settle in much better with less overwhelming factors and neat scenery. This campus also offered plenty of courses that contributed to my interests and studies which I’m hoping will provide me with insightful knowledge, life skills, and opportunities for my further studies. I hope to learn about the people there too, and what networking will be like with different resources.
