For me, it has been a great move to the university and I am thoroughly enjoying my time here. I have found that to meet new people you need to be actively involved in university activities such as clubs or sports. Also taking the opportunity to say hello and start conversations with new people has also worked. In the first few weeks of arriving, I had gone to Wales for a wedding, Wolverhampton for a football match, up Ben Nevis the tallest mountain in the UK, and down to Cornwall to compete at the British surf lifesaving championships.
