I’m really excited to be heading to the University of Glasgow for my exchange. I chose Glasgow because I wanted the opportunity to experience studying and living in a completely different environment, while also getting a better feel for life in the UK.

I also have a personal connection to the UK, as I lived there when I was younger but haven’t been back since I was around eight years old. Because of that, this exchange feels like a good opportunity to return as an adult and experience what living there is actually like now.

Rugby was another big reason I was interested in Glasgow. I’m hoping to get involved with rugby while I’m there and experience the sporting side of university life in Scotland.

I’m also considering potentially moving to the UK after I finish university, so spending time living and studying there will give me a much better idea of whether it is somewhere I could see myself building my career and life in the future.

I’m looking forward to meeting new people, experiencing Scottish culture, travelling around Scotland and the wider UK, and making the most of the opportunities available through the university.

I think the biggest adjustment will be settling into a new city and getting used to a different university system, but having already studied overseas before, I’m excited for the challenge. I’m hoping the exchange will help me become more independent, meet people from different backgrounds, and give me a better understanding of where I might want to live and work after graduating.
