Hey everyone! My name is Kovid Dev, I’m 18 years old and am halfway through my second year of studying for a Bachelor of Computer Science at the lovely Waikato University. Which, is about to get even more exciting, now that I am going on a trimester exchange to the opportunistic Universiti of Malaya.

While daunting, the thought of studying abroad has always fascinated me. The thought of studying and residing in, as well as experiencing another country seems like a triple win. So, of course, I would apply when the opportunity presented itself, and the smooth process made the decision so much easier. Having chosen the Universiti of Malaya (in Malaysia), due to the country’s tempting cuisine, rich culture, and stunning landscapes. As well as, the University’s opportunities and academic reputation.

From my exchange, I hope to meet some amazing people, learn about their culture, experience what their country has to offer, and ensure my stomach gets all the Malaysian food it wants. I want to experience their skylines, national parks, shrines and temples, and academic lifestyle. Having the wish to come back with stories to tell, connections to keep, and experiences to cherish.
